Firstly the algorithm that LL uses for this is secret. But we do know how its approximately calculated.

Each day, when an AV logs in they are given a certain number of "traffic points".

As they visit each parcel, they leave behind these "traffic points".

For maximum points to a parcel, if an AV logs straight to that parcel, stays there for a long time, that parcel will get most of the points this person has. If they stay but a couple minutes and the TP from percel to parcel, those parcels will get a few points only.

I have logged visitors for a while to my parcel, and i get 100 visitors a day, and this scores me about 2000 in traffic.

Any other variations on this people?

The whole system is a bit of a bodge and limp at best, as is 'hits' on a website stating they are actual real people, not the same person clicking the links... thats based on the IP of each 'person' who visits the website.. given that IP addresses are dynamic and you can have 1,000's of people using just one IP address, its not exactly rocket science that would put man into space.
