my roomate gets my ims when we are both logged in world, is this a router problem? its 2 diff accounts, 2 diff AVs, but same network for our PCs.

LOL Surreal and I have had this happen before it can be kind of funny at times... does it happen to you all the time or just once in a while? What are you using for your home network, a hub, switch or router... how are they set up, who is the manufacturer of the equiptment?

This is typically a router problem with the router not handling NAT / UDP correctly. Trying upgrading your firmware to the latest. I had this problem with a LinkSys wireless router. Eventually, I just got a NetGear router from www.globe2000.com for $30 and everything has been fine since then.

its a linksys, its updated and it was fixed once with the same router. i just had to reset it to add a new pc to te network. neither one of us can remember how we fixed it previously. lol...typical
