Cannot even start SL

Ok, I was palying SL earlier and my char started bouncing around thus signalling I had to restart. So I restarted and my comp crashed while it was loading for some reason I should be damned for knowing. I then restart my compter and try and run SL, I get a msg that says SL crashed do I want to send an error report, I click yes and fill it out then try and use SL again; Doesnt work same thing about the error.
I've tried reinstalling/restarting comp/shutting down comp etc but nothing works, SL doesnt want to start, if anyone could help me i'd be greatly abliged. Thanks.

Have you deleted the cache?
c:\documents and settings\[windows user name]\application data\secondlife\cache
Delete everything in that folder.
If that doesn't work, it's beyond what I know to do.

I am wondering if too many peeps were there and trying to rlog in, casusing it to hang..... Did not fill out any crash report, just has been this way for two hours. |

That was my last position also. I went into my preferences before i logged back in, thinking this would fix it and it still says connecting to region... :/

I was having the same problem... unable to log in. I tried and tried for about half an hour... nothing. Then I decided to try logging in with an alias-- no problem what-so-ever! Instantly in. Then I quit SL, and tried logging back in as my original self again, no luck.

i got mine to work by deleting every folder inside the application data folder and then loading sl, u have to set all your prefrences again but at least the game worked. i have yet to try signing off and back on. lol
