No - SL 1.6 onwards doesn't work with Win 98 or Win ME. They weren't supported before anyway.
As Microsoft doesn't support these operating systems either afaik (98 is 7 years old!) it would probably be a good idea to update anyway. _____________________

wrong answer I think it's the only answer you will get o.o this pc doesnt support xp Why doesn't it support XP? If it's not fast enough for XP, it's probably not fast enough for SL anyway. Another possibility would be to wait for the Linux client but you probably don't want that. Ochi |

 i thought you got so fed up with the project you quit.anyways, i am having problems with SL myself, and theres no real way of tricking win98 into running SL either, sorry soph =/ _____________________

my pc is fast enough.. but my illegal version of xp cant be reinstalled properly due to some bad data on this too frequently used cd.. Microsoft does maintain a nice large blacklist of keys that they know to be distributed illegally. I wonder what would happen if someone were to use a key that hadn't made it on that blacklist yet. _____________________

An illegal copy of Windows, stolen textures... Is there anything you do legally?
 Only a joke, couldn't help myself  I'm just one of the freaks that recently bought a copy to play SL until the Linux client is out and/or I get myself a faster Mac (though at that time Macs will be x86 machines too I guess and I'll have to wait again for an Intel-version for Mac OS X). |
