I have the $9.95 one-time fee account and never play Second Life. Is there a way for me to transfer my account to a friend or someone who wants to buy it (like off eBay or something)? If it's possible, please let me know if you're interested in my account. Thanks.

The short answer is no.
The longer answer is you might be able to let someone else use your account, but it's really frowned on, opens you up to liability for whatever the person using your account might do, and if it is discovered that person could end up with a cancelled account.
If someone else wants a basic acocunt after giving the free trial a shot they should really just pay the $10. It's a pretty trivial ammount of money.

I'm just trying to lessen my losses on spending money on the game. Oh well, $10 isn't that much.
