I've been getting banding on high resolution snapshots , is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?I thought it might be because of a laggy sim but I just tried in a new fast sim and got the same thing. Any clues?

BTW high resolution snapshots are an option on the debug panel, be warned they are huge files and should be used sparingly.

You might want to try just taking a screen grab outside of SL. I have no idea how the snapshot mechanism works, so I cannot even guess why you've got the banding.

Under Windows Alt-PrtScn will copy the current screen to the clipboard for pasting into your favorite image editor.

On the Mac, I think you press Alt-Ctrl-Splat-Apple while triple-clicking the left mouse button (which is conveniently also the right mouse button) and drag the screen into the trash can, or sumptin. That should stir up the Mac-heads ;)

apple-shift-3 or apple-shift-4 (to be able to drag a bounding box over the image you want to capture, a cool feature that Mal will never have because he is living in a feted tikki-wikki hut with its inner cored out). :D

Heh, regular snapshot works just fine. I want to use the high resolution option so I can eliminate jaggies easier but I went ahead and used a regular snapshot to do it. I was just wondering if it was a bug or some new SL BS coming down the pike unannounced.

I'll try one here to see if I get it.

Nope - I am fine here.

Attached obviously resized to spare people a 76MB image :)

However I took 7 snapshots for a new range and got it in all of them :(

Mine are vertical.

I've bug reported this. #60142.

I wonder if it is graphics memory related. I can't remember if I had other graphics programs open when I took the affected set.
