I hardly ever crash when In Second Life. I have a 256MB ram Nvidia geforce 6600 Graphics card.

After the so-called update, I have crashed 5 times, often right after I enter a new sim.

I have filed 4 bug reports so far and will file more if I continue to crash.

Crash, Unknown reason.

Will Linden Labs make a new post where we can post our tech problems and not be attacked. Thats why I posted this to the Answers... Because only Tech people and Lindens could respond to it

When I am in Sido, I get 29 FPS but when I am in Glorious Ar I get 9 FPS and When In Torvaldsland it tops out between 13 and 18 FPS.

I think something is wrong

I would suggest you look to the sim then Magnum... check the running scripts and other lag-inducers. I'd offer to help track it down, but I'm sure you're as capable of that as I am...

Never hurts to run antivirus/spyware sweep too. You might have picked up a resource-hog virus somewhere. Especially if you surf porn during down times.

Good point, but if it's only in certain sims, I doubt that's the reason... I'd say there's something running in the sim that's causing it.

Actually, as an addendum... I've not seen, but I'm told the gorean sims are VERY detailed. That added to about a billion prims worth of flexi-silks may just do that... Magnum... is it the same when the sim is empty, or after a reboot?

Many non-gorean sims are far more detailed

No scripts

No Viruses
No Spyware

Conclusion: Software and Server in Linden Labs.

In Sido, I have an astronomy room with a ton of scripts... Yet I am getting 29 FPS.

I suspect that its the failed 1.11.X software. I also notice that it takes a lot longer for the system to find the domain name even thought, (Under protest from Norton) Norton is set to allow Second Life to connect with me across all ports etc. Wide open.

And lets add, that since 1.11 I have major problems crossing sim borders.

is your operating system supported by sl?

if yes could you download the program EVEREST: http://www.lavalys.com/

and paste a full scan of your system here, this way we might find what is wrong on your computer

[1] Finding the domain name goes by in a flash on my system. What you have may be a clue.

[2] No problems crossing sim borders.

You definitely have a communications-related problem. Keep looking. Run a traceroute. I also read somewhere that SL does not use TCP/IP but UDP so there's another line you may want to check. Do a ping too.
