Quick Question

Hey All,

i didnt know which section of the website to post in so i decided to do it in general

i have a quick question..

i was out wandering SL 2day and i dropped my DJ Booth somewhere in SL and cant remember where i dropped it.


is there any way at all that i can find where it has been dropped or somehow get it automatically returned to me through the game or somehow?

REALLY need it back desperately.

Any help would be awesome.

First, let me state, I don't miss There...

However, I do find it handy that I had a way to retrieve inventory I may have accidentally left out or dropped in There. I wish there was that option in SL!

Unfortunately, the best you can do is hope that the land owner of the parcel you dropped it on has autoreturn on, or they see it and return it. Alternatively you can try retracing your steps today and hope you stumble upon it. Other than that, I have NO clue as to how you might get the item back.

One thing I do recommend everyone own though, is a "finder" script. This would allow you to at least have to only go to the NEARBY area and have the finder look for your object (provided you remember its exact name). The ones that I have seen typically generate a particle stream to the object if it is nearby, and you have typed its exact name.

Other than that, I am at a loss. Perhaps someone else knows a better trick to it than I!

1. Check your inventory - particularly the lost and found folder. It may well have come back to you. Also check objects and the folder it was in before.

2. How did you manage to drop it? Hopefully the land you dropped it on will have autoreturn on so it will be returned to you (see above). If not try and retrace your steps. Your object show up in the minimap of the sim you are in.

However - I reckon it's in your inventory

your objects will show up as blue dots on the map as well

Am I running a different version of SL than you? Because I do not and never have seen any such thing.

If there's something I have to set in a preference or something to see this, please tell me!

I have just learned that the minimap is zoomable.

You will probably have to wait until it is returned to you by the landowner of where it was dropped.

I went to put it down somewhere to show sum1 my desk and it just didnt appear.. so i quit and re-booted the game (cuz sumtimes textures dont load) and it still didnt show and silly me i moved on without checking my inventory... so yeah.. its missing lol

Never heard that before...nor have I seen any blue dots...

Also i have checked lost and found and its not in there

Did you contact the person you were with, maybe they remember where you were.
