Hey guys, my system recently has been liking to restart itself. (since 1.6)
I sent an error report and I got this from the M$ website
"During the crash analysis, we noticed the BIOS version on this computer does not match the specifications for the processor that is installed on your computer. This can occur when a newer processor is installed on an older system board or older BIOS. Using a BIOS that does not support the installed processor can result in Windows system crashes. Please contact your computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer for an updated version of BIOS for your computer's processor."
Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks

When you turn on your computer, the motherboard's BIOS usually identifies itself with a brand name, and probably a model number and BIOS version. You need to make a note of that information, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website, and get the latest BIOS for that motherboard. Updating the BIOS can be tricky sometimes. It's not quite like installing new drivers for Windows. You may need to create a DOS boot disk with the new BIOS and its installation program. You'll also want to make a backup of the old BIOS (the installer may do this for you) in case the new one doesn't work. You'll also want to dig out the manual for your motherboard. Sometimes BIOS upgrades can screw up the motherboard, requiring you to do things with the hardware to get it working again. I'm not sure how much you work under the hood of your computer, Launa. You might want to get a local computer wizard friend in RL to help with this one.
