Does ANYONE have an idea of whats going on here?

I have a rather high selling product that had just failed for no reason.
A simple partical script within the product now fails to turn off. Yet the script is set to do so and is rather straight forward and simple.
It has worked fine for the past year until recently. The particals will activate. But do not deactivate.
Yet another product, which has the same partical script inside, works just fine.

I've had to shut down the vendors and am now loosing a LOT of sales because of this. I have filed reports and asked live help.
I spoken to a linden about it and was told that no issues have been known so far. And that I should file a report. Which was done a long time ago. And once again just recently.

In any case nothing seems to be taken very seriously.

So let me explain. This is a group project and I have people to pay. People who have helped in it's design. I have lost a lot of money from this "small" issue.
But even in the face of all that. I would much rather have this product simply work again for everyone.

And here is a second kicker. I am also unable to repackage the product. Due to some unknown reason that does not allow me to recompile scripts since the updates. The compile box just hangs there trying to recompile the first script it finds. I have left it sit for an hour at one point.
So in other words I am unable to even fix the problem for my customers.

So I, and a few other people, would really like to know.. maybe just a little hint please... What is going on?
Any suggestions to fix the recompile issues would also be helpful.

Ok I did a little test and this is what I found. (I posted this in another section also so don't hurt me) :o

Use a simple touch switch to turn on and off particals. For me it seems to work fine if it's left alone as is.

But now make that prim a child in a link set.
Make the parent send a link message to turn on and off particals and put a listener in the child prim that contains the partical script.
Using this code llParticleSystem([]); will no longer work for either the link messages OR the touch switch.
Why?

I think the problem is that as the code for SL is becoming more and more complex, they are losing control of it. From past experience of "fixed" problems reoccuring with subsequent updates it seems that LL has very poor version and change control processes in place. I expect this to get worse as time goes on and unless the "open source" iniciative works I wouldn't be surprised if LL lost all ability to manage their own code.

Yeah apparently the one titled "Minimap should be on by default" is far more important and even has a critical mark on it.
lol
