A strange and annoying bug cropped up last night; rebooting the computer, clearing the cache, and even reinstalling SL has not gotten rid of it, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

There is a set of clothing that I usually wear... my "standard set". Ditto my usual skin and a couple of other things.

When I take off all clothing, my skin doesnt show - instead, my "standard clothing" still shows.

Inventory, etc. shows that I am NOT wearing any clothing, despite my still seeing it.

If I go into Edit Apperance... suddenly my skin shows properly, and I appear without any clothing. As soon as I exit Edit Appearance... the standard clothing gets relayered onto the skin again. Doing an edit in Edit Appearance and saving it before closing it does not help.

If I switch to a new skin... the new skin shows properly.

When I put on other clothing... the other clothing displays fine. And if there are areas of skin exposed by the new clothing that is covered by the improperly overlaid "standard clothing" -- such as bare arms -- that skin appears when I put on the new clothing. As soon as I take it off, though... the "standard clothing" I normally wear immediately appears plastered onto the skin again.

What it amounts to is that I can no longer get naked when wearing my favorite (and most expensive) skin.

Rebaking textures doesnt help, moving or teleporting to a new region doesnt help.

Does anyone have ANY ideas?

And Im not the only person with this probem... at least one other person, on a completely different computer, is also experiencing this issue.
