wireless network drops at VERIFYING PROTOCOL VERSION

I have 2 machines on wireless network connections to SL. One machine can get inworld fine. The other machine drops from the wireless network completely at VERIFYING PROTOCOL VERSION. The problem is reproducible. I'm dropped from the wireless network at VPV every time I try and log in. Then the wireless network comes right back up. I've tried 2 different wireless cards in the affected machine. Same issue on 2 different cards.

My other wireless machine gets inworld fine. I can't figure it out.

Has anyone else had this issue?
