Can't build on my land

After the recent crashes and grid melt downs I can no longer build or script on my own land. I've sent a support request to LL but I was going to work on some stuff. I bought land so I wouldn't have to work in a sand box. Now I'm back to working in a sand box!

Who do I see to get my money back? The day after I paid for a "premium" account they dropped this latest disaster they call an update and nothing has worked since. I'm one very unhappy camper.

Sometimes this happens when there is a grid attack in the area, where LL might be forced to temporarily stop scripts on entire regions to stop objects from self-replicating. Not sure why build is also disabled though.

Usually the permissions return to normal after a couple of hours. If not ask, for live help or nicely post to one of the Linden forums (Land Management or Linden Answers) to get their attention.

Wish it was that simple. If I go stand on my neighbors land I can build. (they evidently left everybody checked) This is only effecting my parcel. Changing my setting to "everybody" has no effect. I still have a greyed out "Build" button and the no script icon.

Are you on Private Islands or Mainland?
PI owners can override your settings for build and script...Several turned them off when the last round of Goo was rollling down the hill.

Main land (Orient) This is really stupid. I can sit on my neighbors land and build when I can't on my own. This is ridiculous. I'm seriously considering calling my CC company and starting a chargeback. I can't get any response from LL. The grid is down more than it's up and now I've paid for "land" I cant use. I think that is pretty close to fraud. I've been charged and I have not received the service I paid for. Maybe if a couple hundred thousand of us simultaneously filed charge backs LL would take notice and fix some of the crap that's broken.

Build on your own land issue

I experienced the same problem over and over, here is how I cope with the situation:

Client menu, click View Admin Options, this should turn on the Build Button and allow you to build. I have to do this everytime I loggin to Second Life.

To get the Client Menu btw: Press Ctrl+Alt+D and it will appear next to Help (along with the Server Menu).

Hope that helps?
