Wind power is suddenly boosted 1000% over what it was at the beginning of the week.

I'm baffled at this. Can I have an eta on repair?
Developers take note: if you're working with wind right now, your results are not valid after repair. Or should I be adjusting?

Just out of curiosity, do your results change after you resize the prim in question? I think that there are a couple outstanding issues with mass recalculations that may be affecting this.

I've moved this thread to technical issues so that you can continue the conversation.

Could this be related to why the Beatfox Xevious Zephyr Windchimes are broken or some combination of increased wind and joins being messed up? Upon rezzing - the chimes are blown completely to one side, and the striker flails around. They blew up when the grid came up after Wednesday's update, and they have not worked right since. (They are +copy/-trans, so it's not just a case of the ones that were live being borked, all newly rezzed copies are as well.)

There is an upcoming round of fixes to the physics code that should fix this issue. If it persists beyond the next update, please post back.
Thanks!

That's happening because joints are/have been phased out. No idea what the replacement is.

No, Andrew Linden said that the broken windchimes were an accident.

Tornadoes!

First of all, I apologize if this is a little off-topic.

I'm still pretty new here, but I had a very strange experience on about my second day.

I was walking on a sidewalk just exploring, and taking everything in when all of a sudden a tornado came upon me and I sucked me in! It hurled me in the air and flailed me about like a rag doll. I switched to fly mode to try to escape, but to no avail. Where I was, and where it was taking me, I had no idea. All I know, is that I was very high in the air, and was being taken for a ride not of my own free will.

I finally went to map mode, and just clicked on a random location and hit teleport. It worked, I escaped, but found myself in a free fall. Of course I didn't think to hit the fly button, and crashed into the ground!

Now before this happened, I thought I was alone. But perhaps someone was stalking me, and unleashed some type of tornadoes script on me. I don't know. Sounds ridiculous I suppose. But still.....

I know this is off-topic, and somewhat trivial, but I can tell you. There are tornadoes in SL!
