Dear Linden Labs,

Hi! I have been looking at a few things about Linden Labs....Thing is you need qualified scriptors to maintain the site...

We do not need Lindens telling us false things and not explaining things fully. Your Live Help is a constant joke...when noone answers does this mean noone knows how to answer or what the answer is?

I have met some good Lindens and then I have met some not so good. I think I can speak for most gamers, we do not want your excuses...we would like to have a working game...we would like you to make sure the updates work before you put them on us and cause our lives to be a living hell...We come to this place to get away from real life and enjoy our friends and families. You all are trying to make a game do things you no nothing about...You do not have the proper equipment to run this game and you want to blame out PC's for our problems...well it's not our pc's, YET!! But your stupid mistakes cause a little damage to some pc's. Maybe if you had to replace vid cards and such all the time...you would get it right the first time...

People pay good money for this on a daily basis, do you really care! I think not.

I think what will be a good thing is when a linden comes to unsafe land...Shoot them...

*SMH*

Second Life is currently down for an update to fix the major exploit found this evening. The deployment window is from 4:40am to 8am PDT Sunday, July 23.

I will announce here when Second Life is once again open to the public.

It's more likely not your pc or router but your internet connection. Cable can be effected by the quality of the lines.

Here is what you should do to find the problem, first bounce a 200 pings off your (cable or dsl) modem (or router), then bounce another 200 off the gateway (as listed in your routers config). If you have no packet loss in both tests then it's probably not the connection (though you should probably do a traceroute to SL and pick a midpoint router and bounce pings off it, to be sure). If the first test shows packet loss then you have a connection problem with your router. If the second test shows more packet loss then the first, then there is a connection problem between your router/modem and your ISP. Old cable modems have a tendancy to die after a few years.

I have done similar testing; and have been able to show that the cabling on my street is effected by wind and rain.

I applaud the first post in this thread! I know for a fact it is not my PC, that I freeze up randomly and crash. I've had my threat posted in here for a few days now and NO LINDEN HELP what so ever. I've sent massive crash reports, no help. Even sent in a complain for email, no help. I pay on a monthly basis for my account, I think that me wasting my money on a game with no support, and that I can't play for longer than a few hours is horrid. I'm about to pack up and play something else. At least that way I would get my money's worth!
