I have several chairs with sit scripts in them in my office -- now when I set on them, I sit in random positions like the sit script wasn't in them at all.
I can't even reset the scripts because it says my selection is invalid and that I need to select an object with a script in it.

Sl is hosed in general. Not just scripts.
I am surprised they have allowed it to stay open.

Yes, majority of pose balls & sit scripts are no longer functioning. LL is working on the problem, but no timeframe has been given to when this will be solved. I do know they have tried a few things because I was able to reset some of the pose scripts and they started working, however this was short lived as they stopped working after a while, possibly due to the things they are trying to patch the bug.

This is due to a bug in the Region Restart code in that it leaves all scripts not running. Enjoy!

Not all scripts are set not-running. In the time I was in the grid before it closed, the scripts I interacted with seemed to be working fine. I didn't test any sit-target scripts though.

The problem is that this has to be a grid-wide Linden fix.
Even if they get it working again, they cannot expect people to go through and reset the thousands of sit scripts out there. For one, I have several objects that I cannot reset because I don't have permission to. So unless the fix comes from the Lindens, those objects are worthless and permanently broken.
