A couple problems I've been noticing.. really frustrating....

When i log in now, I get two windows pop up.. one for SL, and one a DOS type box for SL that shows everything going on in the background.. how do I fix that?

Also, is it just me, ir is the lighting wayyy messed up? It was about 6 my time here on the east coast, and about 2:45 or so game time... and it was pitch black with night... yet I get more light in the middle of my night at say 3 am... I've done the forced sunset thingy back and forth to try and fix this, and yet it keeps happeneing.. I've exited out of debug mode hoping to fix that as well...

Any ideas on these?

There's a "nighttime brightness" slider in Preferences, under Display. You might turn that up a bit to resolve some night issues. "Local Lighting" under Preferences/Options might help (but can reduce performance).

The DOS window... the last preview version had that enabled, I think. You might try reinstalling Second Life with these steps:

The DOS window may be the Debug Console. Go to the Debug menu and make sure the very bottom item is not enabled.

ok, thanks :)

I've set all my sliders down wayyy low except the land detail one and my speed seems better.. although I still have rezzing issues....

Hopefully with my tax return I can get a better system (tho I thought this would be fine) and that will improve things... :)

I did get rid of that window...the debug console thing was it, althought I swear I tried it before... this time it kicked in...

Now I just have lighting issues.. hahahaha It's dark in the daytime in cycles, and light at night in cycles... Does gametime go faster than realtime?

yeah i think it's like 3 hours of light and 1 hour of dark make an SL "day".

well that would explain how it's only light for a couple hours before it's pitch black.. LOL

thank you :D
