There was a thread here at one time that gave the command line for starting newview in a lower priority. Can anybody repost it please ?

I find using the BelowNormal priority sufficient for most usage, that said..

If you want to change a shortcut, or make a new one (on your desktop, for example) you would need to make it run:

cmd /c start /BELOWNORMAL <path to>\newview.exe

Replacting <path to> with the full path of your SecondLife installation, of course.
