I got it a few times yesterday and maybe 5 times today. Also the forums have been extremely slow on occassions..........like sometimes 2 or 3 minutes to jump from one page to another. I wrote it off to LL not paying much attention to the forums since they got their new Blog.

its because LL is taking bandwidth from the forums and applying it to the grid. which explains the tremendous boost in performance of the grid in the past few days.

It's because LL can't spare 2 servers in order to set the forums/database up properly.

Its not LL's fault, its the Internets. I hear that recent interest in Anna Nicole Smith has caused the tubes to get clogged with nude images of her. A few images of her in "whale mode" can clog branch pipes, and slow down service. I think they sent Mike Rowe deep into the Intertubes to clean out the blockage.

I have been getting more 503 messages than anything else lately with *ANY* page related to LL, not just the forums... Includes my transaction and account summary pages, the blog, all LL pages.
Heh... Even their website isn't scaleable. _____________________

Sweet! I just opened the SL client, and got a huge white area with the 503 message in it instead of the usual content in the embedded browser
If I could post snapshots here, I certainly would have, I actually laughed out loud when I saw that._____________________

Yes Sue. You beat me to it. I have been trying to save the error messages I have been getting lately to tell them about on the blog and ask other people about in these forums.
503 Service Unavailable The service is not available. Please try again later. The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. 502/501 An Internal Error Has Occurred. Are they redesigning or making changes to the website? The blog was acting really odd after Wednesday and some buttons look a little different to me. |

The forums are really slow - I may not be getting any error messages, but it's taking so long to load pages that it makes me think something has locked up.
