When fine-tuning attachments, I generally position them into place while standing on a pedestal and attaching from the world, as opposed to inventory. This seems to be the preferred way for most people. However, I've recently experienced a great deal of trouble with this method. When attaching from in-world, the attachments are either not appearing in my inventory (as is the case roughly 90% of the time) or are appearing but without any of the position information stored, so that the attachment needs to be repositioned again manually.

I have relied on this method to achieve precision placement of attachments, and would very much like to have this problem solved so that I might continue my work. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Any quick fixes? Or am I at the mercy of a cruel and sadistic asset server from hell?

Well, I'm clearing out 1.68 GB (!) of cache right now on the off-chance that the wonkitudinality I'm experiencing might be tied to that...
