.

im kinda sick of watching myself and Second Life's World from
their default camera angle ... from about 45% overhead

and consequently always having to adjust my camera position

is there a way that the view can be set to the angle (zero) as shown below?

oh and what of my personal view of SL?

unlike most people i never thought of Second Life as a game ...

and considering all the problems people and SL are having,
over innumerable technical issues, loss of money, lost inventory, crashes,
including LL Labs seeming ambivalence to members' problems,
and their (LL Labs), probably having to submit and cow-tow to the intrusions
by various branches of U.S. Local, State and the Federal Government ...
(i just cant wait until we hear about an SL member having their chat
spied upon by AT&T or the NSA under Bush's new Spy Law,
as well as financial accounts carefully gone over by the IRS) ...

i dont think there are too many people who can now call Second Life
a Game anymore ... except for those few who regard Real Life as a game too.

now there are some people who welcome much of this,
as they applaud, for example, the ban of so-called gambling on SL
and call for the banning of other things as well, imposing and prostelizing
their Real Life Moral Values on Second Life and its members ...

it is indeed ironic how some of these same Moral Crusaders
put into their profiles they keep their SL separate from thier RL ...

just on what basis can one make such a ridiculous statement and justify it?

however, more important to me than anything else on SL ...
id really like to know if there is any way to change the default camera angle

tnx

There is a freebie camera script that you can preset your view via a HUD (don't try the spaz or worm camera angles (knowing you will now)), I have a copy somewhere in my inventory, gimme a IM in game.

Go to View -> Mouselook to see the world from first person. Use the mouse to look around and the movement keys (a/w/s/d/e/c or up/down/left/right/pgup/pgdn) to move.

And I don't have a landmark but search for Torley Linden's office, Watermelon somethingerother, and there are free followcam scripts there that will change the cam angle. =^.^=

My advise is get very familiar with the camera. It's more than your friend.
