recommended right now would be something like this;
cpu : 3ghz+ cpu (amd (am2) or intel (775)) ram: 2gig ram+ (ddr2) gpu : 7800/7900 (just cause they are fast and cheap right now)
thats about it , rest doesnt really matter

From: Dp Eros I have just got a new computer and have not a clue as the settings i should use. Select every graphics option and move all the sliders to the far right. Then see what happens.

Go to your graphic card's control panel and turn up AF and AA sliders until they significantly affect frame rate then drop them back a notch or two until you have a balance between quality and frame rate you can be happy with. Open the client settings on the upper tool bar and go to rendering and select VBO. You should see a significant jump in FPS.
Try the First Look viewer on the downloads page, it has VBO turned on already plus if you have dual core CPUs you don't have to set affinity. At least with mine anyway.. it roxxors!
