Serious avatar glitching. Help?

Hi.
So first problem:

Random parts of my avatar with turn grey and untextured and there's nothing I can do about it except deal with people laughing at my grey ass until it goes away (which can be hours!)
When I go into edit appearance, I look fine, but as soon as I close it, grey ass!
Any ideas?

Next:

When I go to edit my appearance, more often than not, instead of seeing my slider images (the little pics that show the extremes), I get a psychedelic textures show in the boxes and
on my avatar. I'm talking laces textures morphing into faces, eye templates and you name it.
It's extremely annoying and debilitating.
Help from anyone?

Last question, I promise:

My wig and shorts disappear spontaneously leaving me running around as a bald nekkid woman usuall with a grey ass! As you may understand, this is pretty upsetting!
I don't want to be a bald, naked woman with a grey ass!
Do help!

I hope someone can help me tweak my settings to avoid these problems.

I too am experiencing similar issues. One that I didn't see in your post was the sleep disorder. My avatar will go from away to active over and over for no reason while I a working, walking, or building. I have my away time set to 60 seconds. So I have no idea why I keep falling asleep.

I've experienced something similar too.
Once in awhile I can't move forward. Side to side yes, but not forward and I have to restart.

Along with the whole mess of preformance issues that the new update caused me, I also have encountered the "falling asleep" problem. My avatar goes in and out of away mode rapidly for extended periods of time. Strange...

When I've had sleeping problems, appearance issues, or not been able to move forward, it's been my connection flaking out, every time.

Are you seeing any packet loss in the client? If not, check the route to sim#.agni.lindenlab.com and see if there's a consistent problem between you and the grid. We suffered through six weeks of horrible connectivity through the midwest last year. The route sometimes wouldn't even go through. It eventually got fixed and has worked ever since.

Same here accoring to my spouse (a programmer) and tech support.
We shall see...
