I have been playing SL for some time on my old computer, where the cache is located in the usual place...Documents and settings/user/applications etc.
Occasionally I play on a much younger computer, which has had increasing problems in SL. I went to clear the cache...and couldn't find it. I did a search on cache, and while it came up with a large number of files, none of them appeared to be the SL cache.
I have looked on the Wiki, but that gives advice about moving your cache or clearing it, couldn't find anything on locating it in the first place.
Any help anyone can offer will be gratefully received.

The folder where it resides is a hidden folder, you will have to enable show hidden files.

Yuh, like Leck said—and it's nice 1.7 has a CLEAR CACHE button so you won't have to worry about folderhunting anymore... hopefully.
(In Windows, TOOLS menu then FOLDER OPTIONS then the VIEW tab and look for the "HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS" thing and make sure you have the right one selected.)
