I have an issue with streaming sound.

Recently purchased adjoining land plot. Joined to existing holdings.

Now when I cross (imaginary) border to new land, stream halts and computer freezes requiring cold reboot.

Ideas or help anyone? Anyone else experience this?

TIA

[Edit] Folks, there exists a very small bit of land in my path which does not belong to me. When I cross into my new holdings I have accidentally stepped onto land not mine, which kills the sound.

If I take the proper path, all is good.

the audio SHOULD stop when you exit your land, and new audio (if present) should begin.
I cross from parcel to parcel and never drop the audio.

But a hard crash suggests that your machine either:
1) isn't stopping politely, or
2) the new piece of land has its own audio, which, as it starts is causing you to crash.

My guess is #2.
You can test this theory by standing on your land. Turn off the audio. Cross to the next (small empty intervening) parcel. Turn on the audio. Does it crash?

Then turn off the audio, cross to your OTHER parcel. Turn on the Audio. Does it crash?

This will help you determine which parcel of land's audio is causing the problem, and whether its as you enter or leave the parcel.

SL uses Quicktime for its audio and video. I suggest you be sure your QT installation is up to date, and latest drivers are loaded.
