Can't trust the icons on the forum here :(

Well... now I'm getting the reverse problem of what I posted on previously. Before I said 'how do I get the new-post 'yellowy' icons to go back to dull after I have read them. But now I have a worse problem. Some threads with new posts don't have the yellow icon on them. I'd have missed them if I hadn't noticed the date being recent.

Am I crazy thinking the little icons are to help the weak-minded human to remember which threads they have read? I'd like that crutch very much, but it isn't working that way.

Dont believe those thigns. They are not accurate at ALL. Also, make sure to check your Private Message box once in a while, people MAY be sending stuff to you but the thing never will light up to inform you. Has happened to me, lol.

I just spent a minute or two scouring the screen to locate where I check my PMs.... the only place I didn't look was in the user prefs area, which I'll go to now... am I missing it? Or is it in the preferenes area?

I found it in a couple other places... in the pull down box for jumping to other forums, and the top-level has it at the bottom with the count of how many are waiting for you....
