Help Account Won't Log Out

My avatar is currently stuck , and will not log out of the sim it was last in. Every time i try to log it gives me the account is logging off message 1 hr later the message is still there i log onto an alt. an my account is frozen in place unable to log.

Sometimes this clears up by itself (it is known as ghosting), but most often it will not clear up until the sim is restarted.

Give it another few hours and then tell the sim owner and ask them if they can have their sim restarted.

It sounds like you got logged out during a sim crossing (as opposed to a TP), yes? If your alt can go look at your ghosted avatar, you might be able to tell what sim she/he is in. My guess would be that you are being logged out from the sim you were originally in; perhaps you could test that by shoving your ghost (usually you can push them around) more than 10 meters back into the original sim.

I guess this is a good reason why alts should grant each other the ability to see each other on the map. If your alt had that, probably you could tell what sim SL thinks your ghosted avatar is in.

In any case, if you can't figure it out you'll have to guess, and possibly end up getting both sims restarted. sigh.
