Odd behavior with a sim...

I'll try to make this as short as possible.

A friend contacted me, explaining that she has been having odd issues since 10am this morning. She IM'd me asking if I were experiencing any issues, "not at the moment but that could change in an instant's time" I replied, and tp'd her over to try and help. As soon as she tp'd to me, I noticed she was 'ruthed'. Now this friend is older than me, and I'm no SL spring chicken, so please dont blow this thread off as "stupid n00bs that don't know how to clear the cache". Before anything, we both ran a bandwidth speed test, checked for any driver updates on graphics cards etc, and yes even cleared cache and relogged several times. Our PC's are in perfect working order for SL. And I'll note I wasnt experiencing any issues with SL before visiting her land.

Her concerns were as follows:
1. Ruthed.
2. Inventory wouldn't load.
3. Object she had deleted on her land, was invisible, still there, and not phantom.
4. Could not go into appearance.
5. Avatar appeared "offline".
6. Could not wear, or attach items.
7. Could not rez objects.

IM texting, chat texting, and pay an avatar, and buy an object, were still working.

First experiment:
I first had her to tp me to her sim from my home sim. I did not notice anything odd, except for the fact she was still ruthed, and the object she had "deleted" was invisible, but I could not walk through it. My inventory was fine, but I could not drop any inventory on her avatar, or into her profile to her.

Second experiment:
I then decided to log into the sim that she lives on from the start up screen. When I logged in, I instantly got a "clothing is still downloading" message, and was ruthed as well on my screen, and appeared "offline". While on her sim, I immediately noticed the same issues she expressed to me just a few mins earlier.
I checked the sim stats, things seemed to be fine as far as dilation, time and things of that nature.

After filing a bug report and support ticket, I decided to then log into my home sim, and see if things were better. They were. I was no longer ruthed, my inventory loaded fine, things were all good to go, until I noticed what I was wearing. Some of the items that I had copied, and changed the color of 20 mins before my friend showed up, and before I had even tp'd to her place, were not in my inventory, or on my avatar. My friend on the other hand, logged into the sim that I live on, and she was no longer ruthed, but stated that her inventory would still not load, and her eyes were blacked out on her avatar, her clothing and attachments appeared to be the same.

This makes the 3rd time for me now that inventory has come up missing. Twice I have had no copy items missing, that were never returned or replaced, and I'm getting a tad bit frustrated with this missing inventory issue.

Is it possible there is a problem with just her sim, or the server her sim is on, and no where else in SL? Is anyone else on the grid experiencing issues of this nature?

Hi ya that was my sim and it did not load my AV at all. None of me worked cause technically i was not there by SL. Inventory loaded very slow. I could do nothing with my av.

Items with scripts dropped, attempted to take back do not take back AGAIN. Stuff lost completely. That bug is back. I hope they fix it before they add any new things.

This has been happening to me all over the place for the past 3 days (and yes cache is emptied every day lol).

Sim takes ages to rez anything - including the ground, prims and textures take up to 30 minutes to rez, Ruthed, Avvie can't move, Avvie sometimes invisible, Inventory folders won't open, can't go into appearance, often Linden balance shows as Loading, chat doesn't work, IM's are out of order and laggy, Avvie shows as offline to others, tp's often work fine (?) - I could go on......... But hey - we have voice! grrrrr

Pleeaase pleeaase - fix?

I have some jewellery to make and a party to go to. - haha .... **sigh**

I have noticed an increase in objects becoming ghosted and not removeable

I can't open other scripts from inventory, rez objects from inventory or attach things... I can't teleport and I'm having a lot of trouble getting stuff as I move to it to rez... this is terrible lol

oh and what is ruthed? like what does that mean?

Ruthed = when your avatar is stuck in the default new resident shape, that you rez on orientation island with. Most of the time it's the shape, and you can see the odd brown afro style hair on your avatar's head, and if you are wearing prim hair with a bald base, then you see brown afro style hair poking out under your prim hair. What is extremely funny...this also happens to males as well, making them appear as a female. Ruth pwns us all from time to time, if you havent met her yet, consider yourself very lucky. LOL

I see that SL is down right now. I sure hope that issues are resolved, I am seriously sick of the "missing inventory" plague. Good luck everyone, hope things are better later on today.
