Getting stuck at version protocol

Hi-
OK last night everything was running fine I was a bit sluggish so I reloged but to my utter horror I can't get back in =(. I tryed waiting it out figuring its just being slow then it boots me back to the login screen say the servers may be down please try again later, I don't understand what happen or why its stopping on the "verifying protocol version" part =( please help!!

Never had a problem loggin in...have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice...no luck. Whats going on??? Any suggestions??

though last night I got stuck in reason and now it not even getting me to the sign in page it keeps crashing and I know nothing is wrong with the macine.

hmm.... I would agree with that but since mine has been working fine up until just the other day.. I dont think it has to do with temp on my pc. I hope they are working on an update or something... dont like to pay for something I cant use

102 F is a cool running computer, 102 C is basically a melted computer.
This very same thing happend to me yesterday. What I did was completely uninstall SL from the "Add/ Remove Software" from the control panel then installed the full version from the downloads page. This cured it right up. There is a page on the support wiki that explains step by step how to do this if you need it.
