I just downloaded Second Life.. and it will not allow me to open the program because it says "your video card drivers are either out of date or unsupported. Please make sure you have the latest video card driver's installed". How and where do I get the video card driver or update it if I do have it? I'm so lost! THANKS!

A driver is a software program that allows your hardware to communicate with your computer's operating system.
What the message is saying is that your video card is either not supported (which does not mean it won't work) or the driver for it are out of date and will not work with SL. You can download new or updated drivers at two places. Your computer manufacturers website or the graphics card manufacturer's website..........the best choice (in my opinion) is the graphics card site.
You will need to know who manufactured your card and it's model number. Search for it on the website and download the most recent.

well not 100% manufactured, you need to know who made the chip (ie NVIDIA or ATI) both of those have like 1000000000000 people making the boards to keep up with demand, and keep cost low

if you right click the desktop and click on personalize then click on display settings you can see what card you have. It should read something like Generic PnP Monitor on [your type of video card]. The message may varry slightly but you should know what type of card you have.
The only thing is if the machine is a laptop it may be difficult to update the drivers on the graphics card. Is the machine a desktop or laptop?
