I'll be buying a new laptop soon and was wondering if anyone can recommend what GPU's available in laptops work well with SL? My old laptop has a crappy Radeon Mobility (IGP 320M) that doesn't work with anything basically :> And the driver is impossible to upgrade. So, I want to be REAL sure that I buy a new one that is more SL (and other games) friendly. Thanks for your help.

Laptop GPUs that I know work well include the NVidia Go 7400 and all higher-numbered models (higher number = faster, but the REALLY fast ones like the 7900 are only available on 8 pound behemoths), and the ATI Radeon Mobility X1600. Avoid all integrated graphics (NVidia 6150, ATI X200 and X1100, and especially anything made by Intel).
Some older NVidia Go chips were fine as well, but you won't find them in current laptops.

I have an Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 in my notebook and it runs great with all the goodies turned on. It has 256 mb of dedicated memory, not shared so that is a big plus. One thing to be careful about is the notebook manufacturer. Some never update the video drivers very often and only the newest top of the line Nvidia notebook cards can use the reference drivers from the Nvidia website.
