So who do I have to sleep with to be able to rez an object around here?

Hey guys...I'm trying to rez things I own on land I own, not parrticularly laggy or so on...but try as I might, nothing will rez...any tips or hints?
Apart from wait until the Lindens fix the grid?

Are you getting object not rezzed error? If you are not getting that error try a relog. The object may be rezzed and you just don't see it. Happened to me 2 days ago. Didn't see a thing, but when I relogged it was all over the place.

Thanks Destiny...I get two varying errors...and check the prim count with every rez to check whether objects are invisible or placed randomly....

No doubt this is related to the recent asset server problems. Hopefully it will clear up soon. After a couple attempts I even lost the item I was trying to rez. Only L$100 so no huge loss -- glad it wasn't something expensive. Perhaps it's somewhere in the air ...

Oh yeah... I almost forgot that one. Very often I can't rez for a while. That sux.
It just says something about object attempted to rez failed something like that.

oohhh now I have phantoms objects again. Can't select, highlighting transparent object does nothing... damn well... at least my customers can walk on it.. its not a huge wall.

Ahhhh, I love SL. So, none of the items would rez yeterday, I just kept getting the 'unable to rez object at this position' or 'obect rez failed' errors (or words to that effect). And, I watched the items stay put in my inventory. Watched them like a hawk, and made sure the prim count didn't increase so I knew i didn't have invisible or misplaced items on my land.
Can you guess where this is going yet?
So I log on today, thinking 'I wonder if I'll be able to rez them today' and merrily open my inventory to discover.....DA DA DA DAAAAAAA....The Great LLindinis have vanished the items!!!!!!!!
If they were as good at the right things, as they are at the wrong things SL would be fabulous. As it is, I'm supposed to pay tier fees now for land I can't actually use for anything other than standing on. And there's a red light distict nearby with lamp posts provided that pay *you* for just standing around....

Same problem, tried to rez soemthing and relogged and it was gone from inventory. Missing inventory seems to be a recurring theme here.

I tried with various items, some rezzed, some failed - and those which failed vanished.
Appearently due to the asset server problems these days, which are neither openly reported on the blog nor even resolved. Luckily no real high value items, but still...
Hopefully this will be reported and solved soon, in the meantime just beware that there's a risk of losing items as soon as the message "An attempt to rez an object failed" occurs. The objects are still shown in the inventory but miraculously vanish after relog.
