(I posted this as a reply already, but quite a few people seem to be having the same issue) SL was hardlocking (locked up so I had to power off and back on) my computer ever since I did the optional update, so here is what I did: I uninstalled 1.14 and then used this link ( http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-secondlife-com/Second%Life%1-13-3-2%Setup.exe) to download 1.13.3.2 again, and installed it and then did NOT upgrade to 1.14 when asked. In short, the new update is awful and I hope by the time they force me to update they have it sorted out. |

i agree - i have told hubby "DON'T UPGRADE!!!"
i can't even log in again now- see the forum about unable to log
this is shocking - i better not have lost my character and the money i have spent building her up!!

I finally got the new version to work by right clicking on the sl sortcut and changing settings- properites - compatibility -windows 2000
