Mobility 9000, Omega Drivers, Grey Textures

I can see most of the avatars (some textures aren't showing up) and I have upgraded to the latest Omega Catalyst drivers.

I'm at a loss as to what I can do.

If everything is all grey its either your connection or SL's Assest server. Also what are your hardware specs? All I can tell from this post is that you're using an ATI card. We need to know: CPU type & speed, amount of ram, and wich ATI card you have.

It's a 3.06ghz Intel processor, 1.5 GB of ram. More than enough to run what I need. It's an ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 with 128 MB dedicated to it.

Yes it seems that the Radeon Mobility 9000 does not like the Omega drivers past the ones biased on catalyst 5.6. Either install Catalyst 5.6 (http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/ati.htm) or omega drivers biased on 5.6. The problem is that ATI dropped support for several older cards and this was one of them and is no longer included in the current versions of Catalyst. Personally I would recommend the catalyst 5.6 in this case. based on experience, the omega drivers do not work well with this particular card.

I don't really have any problems with my laptop's Radeon Mobility 9000 with the latest Omega drivers. The only thing I can think of is that SL always tells me it's running in PCI mode. No clue why, since it's an AGP card.
That's why I doubt it's the card or the drivers.

What make/model of laptop do you have? I know a HP pavillion zv5000 with a 9000 card does not show any textures other than avatars and sky. Everything else is blank. Also what FPS do you usually get?
