My friends and I all play Second Life, them more then myself... yet they still sick the Networking problems on me -.-
There are 3 of us on the same Home Network. We are using a Linksys router and can all log into the game fine, but about 5 mins into it everyone but one person will crash. I've experienced many problems like this before with other games, and the fix was always setting up port forwarding.
So basically my question is, what ports need to be opened for Second Life to function with multiple Computers/Clients.
Thanks in advance, Warenth McTeague

You only have to do this in the second, third, fourth computers. Leave primary as is.
Right click the Second Life icon on your desktop
Go to the shortcut box
It reads: "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe"
Add -port 13010 (increment port number if you have more than two PCs on the network, for example second PC is 13010, third pc 13011 and so on)
It should now read: "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe" -port 13010
Apply
OK
Start Second Life
Every time there is a new release of SL you will have to redo the procedure as the icon gets reset.

I experienced a similar problem with my Linksys router (WRT54G), and installing a firmware upgrade to the router fixed it.
Tito's solution works as well. The problem is that you have multiple machines on the local network side all listening to the same port number. You can change the port number via Tito's suggestion, or you can try the firmware upgrade which, at least in my case, got the router to be smart enough to figure things out on its own.

P.S. Don't be initimated by the idea of upgrading firmware. It was a piece of cake and well documented on the Linksys website.
