Hi I came across a comment by one of the Lindens here on the forums about changing my ATI catalyst settings to 'let the application decide' to help stability. It works! I was crashing every 10-20 mins on my previous settings. Now I'm hardly crashing, it's great! The thing is I couldn't find anything in the Wiki pages about this, if it isn't there they should add it or make it easier to find, as I feel lucky I came across this. If worked for me there's a chance it could work for others.

I submitted it for Wiki, but that was months ago.

Could you direct me to that information? as I would love to change those settings but am not finding it on my own, or the thread that mentions such. Thanks!

Scotchy, if u have the latest the Ati catalyst driver and running windows, you double click the red Ati icon thats down beside your clock, this loads the catalyst program, click the 'view' button at the top left until you see a list of options with '+3D' the 5th option down, click the '+' next to '3D' and click 'no preview' then work your way down the options ticking the boxes beside 'let the application decide'.

Ewan,

Thanks so much for the info. You directed me to the settings perfectly!

Alas.. this didn't correct my troubles.. but it could very well be part of the puzzle to get me on track with Second Life.

Thanks again.
