Your accounts page is a secure site. On your browser go to "tools" and then to "internet options". Then click on the "advanced" tab and scroll to the bottom under security. I have both SSL 3.0 and TSL 1.0 checked..............if they are not try that.

Otherwise, I'm a little mystified myself.

This 'feature' has been removed from the client some 3 updates ago. Now there is no direct link from the client from my recolection.

Your default isn't AOL Explorer perchance is it? I can't get on it in or out of SL. The message I get is that the browser can't find xprt6.dll and that reinstalling the application might help. That has to mean reinstalling AOL Explorer. I can't find the place to designate regular IE for SL or I would. I can get on it fine and would like to use it for SL now.

My assumption is based on it not working for me using a standard IE browser from around 3 updates ago. Anyway, its a no brainer, I just use IE straight from a bookmark anyways.

I was having the same problem with IE...I can't even sign into SL.com with IE yet I can with firefox. I have used IE forever and never had a problem until now. I have tried on other computers to sign into my account with IE and it worked fine. IT is a mystery no one seems to be able to figure out at least with PC techs I know. So for now, I am stuck with firefox if I want to get into SL.com and check my account until the matter is understood.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your troublesome browser...even if it's good on one computer and not another. Outside of SL, I used to be able to open my Gmail from my GoogleTalk window. Now I get a message when I click on the link that some .dll file can't be found and to try a reinstall of the application. That means something isn't working in my browser, which is Explorer....just don't have time to reinstall right now. Hoping they'll fix it themselves.

If you are running Vista (I believe there is a similar function in XP), open Default Programs and set the default web browser to IE. Worked for me. You may also want to check to see if IE has all its defaults.

I had Firefox installed and uninstalled it because I like IE better, but FF didn't remove the program associations to itself -- so the program associations went to nowhere. Ah, the joys of poorly designed uninstall programs.
