Big Big Problem, The chipset!!!

I have a BIG problem, i want to get on SL so bad but my computer has a SiS 760 chip. I cant install the right drivers for it. SL Dosent Support this chip and i dont know wat to do. maybe cuz i have a compaq computer, but i dont know, do they even sell chips, and how much are they? Or maybe i gotta get a new computer, this shit is driving me crazy.

HELP PLEAZE!!!!!

Is this a desktop computer? If so, it should be no problem to disable the onboard SiS video circuitry (it's normally done in the CMOS setup screen) and install a more powerful video card.

What kind of computer is it? Brand name, model number, etc. will help us to advise you better.

Its a Compaq Perserio, Windows xp, i dont really know where to find all that other stuff, but i can download a new video card? from where? everytime i try i just see the drivers

Sadly you have to purchase a new video card (it is hardware, not software)

It will go in one of the slots of in your machine, and when in there will disable the on board one and will be able to SL, and actually everything will be faster.
