Freezing after it seems it shouldn't.

Ok, I've installed SL on my new comp, and it -should- be working fine as far as I know.
It starts loading fine, I can move and see chat fine. But then everything just stops after around 10 seconds... Everything. If I click a few times, the window title states (Not Responding) and I must end the program. I tried fullscreen, same. I set all options to the lowest possible, same. Reinstalled, same. etc...
Extra note, this happened since the first load on this comp, so it has yet to work properly.

Any idea why?

I do NOT want to go back to my old computer, it has so many issues, although it can run SL. Just so minimally it is impossible for anyone to stand it.

huh...

ok nevermind, just realized my video card is under the category of Non-Compatible or Questionable...
'tis a Radeon IGP 320M.

Meh... can I ask how or why this incompatability exists? I mean, it seems to work perfectly fine for a couple of seconds... why just... meh...

i dunno i personally have had no trouble what so ever running SL with an ATI video card

cept 1 time with my mothers laptop using an igp card (i was stuck house sitting heh)

the next time i was stuck there it ran just fine ... heres what i did (maby it will help you?)

first off this thing is a 3ghz p4 laptop with 512 mb of ram

well 128 of it was used for the video card, 200 ish mb was instantly used by windows XP and around 100mb of it was used for Norton, HP's crap, and other misc software running in the background, effectivly leaving about 80mb for programs to use

well i slapped another 512mb of ram in it and updated drivers to the latest and greatest, and the next time i had to house sit for her it ran SL just fine
