can i take a jpeg off my profile and put it as a pic in my profile,and if so how do I do it.

You need to check the box that adds UI elements to the snapshot to get a pic of your profile box then download and edit out the stuff you don't want and re upload to SL.
Also with it open alt+printscreen copys it to your windows scratchpad and you can paste it into a image program like PSP with ctrl +V then crop to what you want and upload.
