OK U LINDENS!!!! This Sux!!!!! Has to Be Fixed !!!!

I have had it with items going missing!!!!!! RANT

Earlier today I posted about that this issue. As of that time I had lost 1 aircraft (replaced by a generous builder) AND 90 high-end club/disco lights (SL market price $45,000 Ls).

So the update comes and so I decide to risk my remaining lights. BOOM!! 30 Hyper Lasers and 2 Laser Controllers vanish within minutes of being placed in ther world. There goes another $11,000 LS

wTF! ??????????????????????

These items vanish for some unknown reason without a trace. They are not physically in the world anywhere nearby where they were imnitially placed, and they are not in my inventory Files, Trash or Lost and Found and they do not reappear!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF IS THAT ??????????????????????????

I am a have been a hard-core gamer for a very long time and have played many on line games. I have never witnessed or heard of such disappearance on sucha large scale as what I have experienced since 1.10. And in most every other on-line game the game's producer has an established procedure for replacing missing items for the rare occaisdons that do occur.

Ok...this update has been the most disasterous in all my recent memory. I lost a shitload of stuff and My partner lost 70% of her inventory.

WTF is going on with this system. it's hard enought that some of the scripted stuff now has a mind of it's own as far as placement but I wait patiently for the update to finish only to find that I am going to spend the next week trying to rebuild my inventory and objects on my island cuz the update wiped it.

Sure the Lindens can go back and find a way to do a restore of some sort on inventory files.

I've heard of things disappearing since 1.10, but it's only a matter of them not being rendered. Try relogging.

I've also heard of people clearing their caches to solve inventory loss problems. That might help here too.



I suggest a cage-fight.

After the first inventory update my entire inventory went missing, i panicked of course, but then I calmly talked to a linden, who helped me for three days until my inventory completly came back, i have to clear my cache at least 4 times before it all came back, just wait it out, it should come back. I agree that the new inventory system is crap, it was an un needed update but it's inevitable, no matter how much we hate it, wont bring back the old inventory.

Try talking to Live Help they might be able to help you out, but dont freak out on them, Dont shoot the messanger's ya know? They helped me, and hopefully they will help you too!

This is not stuff missing from Inventory.

This is stuff DISAPPEARING (NOT Occluding - just plain GONE) when placed in world.

Take an item. Set it on the ground on your land. Wait a bit...work on something else...

And it just GOES AWAY....

When the 'rendering' bug happens, it comes back. Not only that, but you know its there because you can't walk through it. It still processes collisions. This bug is not like that.

I don't think that people understand this. This is NOT an inventory bug. This is not Object Occlusion gone wrong....

This is shit just disappearing from the world and never returning.

Duke, are you for sure positive that the actual objects aren't set to temp rez or they have a "rez cheat" script in them. I was playing with one of the rez cheat scripts to see how they work and if not done right, the object will go into complete nothingness which in turn will render the original object as a temp rez - again poofing into nothingness.

I really hope you find a solution soon, i'm missing stuff as well but nothing no where near this level or stuff that particularily matters to me.
