I cannot cross a sim boundary, or TP anywhere.

I'm quite patient really.
For the last 3 weeks I have been trying to either:
1. Slowly, and deliberately, walk or fly from my home sim to one of its neighbouring sims. The result is flying offworld, and then being unlogged from the grid.
2. Trying to TP from my login location to one of my owned parcels. The result is no movement, until I am unlogged from the grid.
I'm happy to believe that there is a workaround to this. However, I have contacted LL many times in the past about this, and I have received suggestions and apologies, but not solutions.
For what it's worth, I don't live in a 3rd world country, but I have semi-decent broadband in England.
Does anyone have any non-LL suggestions which might prevent me from giving up my nearly 4 year investment in Second Life?

Hi ^_^ Do you perchance use a 3rd party firewall that might block you getting from one sim to the other? Cause that usually means an IP chance of the server you're on then.

1) What is the name of your ISP? 2) To which of their services do you subscribe?

No, just the inbuilt Win XP SP2 firewall and AVG Free for antivirus. Would either of those have an effect?
edit - Pipex 8MB home broadband.

OK, I've manually stopped both, and I still walk straight offworld over a sim boundary. The other thing is : I am not listed as being a member of any groups. I know I am, including ones I founded to manage my own land(!). But I have no access to those, so it's like I'm a stranger on my own land - I can't check items, set perms/music, or anything.

Did you try logging in to a different sim yet?

Yep. I get in, but cannot cross boundaries or tp. I'm stuck wherever I log in.

I also had the groups dissapearing a short while ago and found if i went to groups, selected none and activated, then the group list appeared and i could select any i wanted.
Hopefullly this works for you, as for the sim crossing I have no idea.

I'm having the exact same problem, though I'm behind a router (belkin) and it seems whenever I bypass that, and connect directly to the modem, I have no problems teleporting. This wasn't always the case, this only started recently. I've ruled out firewall conflicts, I've tried port forwarding, reinstalling, disabled the firewall completely, put my system on the routers DMZ, nothing has helped. As for the groups issue, I had that too, reinstalling SL seemed to fix it for me, I can't say with certainty it'll be the same for you though.

Me too

Same probs for me. But defo nothings changed about my pc since I WAS able to tp properly. So cant be my firewall, which I have turned off to check, and it still happens. Ive got Spyware doctor, but it worked fine until over a week ago and ive had spyware doctor 2 months now. Glad to see others have this too tho, thought I'd gone crazy lol. Can any enemies ingame do this to you, does anyone know? Cos theres a lot of clever but twisted people playing SL at the moment.

Bypassed it, no change. Formated the computer and reinstalled SL eventually.. no change. I consider it a feature now that i'm stranded on my home
