Uploading sounds/help to maintain sound

Hi Guys
I need some help
I have d/loaded some sounds into sl
However all the specs are correct Wave and 16bit etc
But the sound volume drops so when loaded into sl the sound is very low
I have tweeked the sound in edit before loading to max sound and still its not working
PLSSSS any ideas

How do i increase the sound in sl ???

In Edit Preferences Audio check that the roll off is 0 and you will experience the sound as louder since some of what you are experiencing may be drop off with distance. But each person will experience it differently according to their settings.
