I've updated my BIOS to the latest, I've updated my Radeon drivers to the latest supported by Dell.
Every time I start up the game, I log in just fine. I can stand there and check my inventory, IM, etc...but if I move...boom.
Something like 10 crashes have been send in automatically. How do I know if there is something which I need to do to resolve this which comes out of the crash report? Will tech support just email me?
What else can I do/should I do?
I'm about to DOWNGRADE my drivers based on a vague hit in the KB, but...
Help?

You say "the latest supported by Dell" (Emphasis mine.) This is a notebook then? I assume you've tried to install the official ATI Catalyst drivers and they've given you some kind of error? If so, you might consider trying either the Omega or DNA drivers for ATI cards. They're third-party drivers, not supported by anyone. They're not going to damage your computer, but I can't honestly say that they'll work. I hear the DNA drivers are better. If that doesn't help, I put a few suggestions up on this page.

I assume you've tried to install the official ATI Catalyst drivers and they've given you some kind of error? Yeah, it is a notebook. The most recent version of the drivers 'approved' by Dell was 8/03. I may be stupid, but I cannot seem to find the ATI Catalyst drivers on the ATI page. The best I could come up with was a circular link back to Dell's support page, because each notebook manufacturer has to make allowances for their product. Downgrading the drivers to a 1/03 released version got me INTO the game, but every looks bad (big suprise) and colors flicker in and out on textures all the time and might induce sezure.

Wow, that sucks. ATI's current drivers suck, let alone ones a year old... bleh. You can download the ATI Catalyst drivers here. I haven't tested it, but this site seems to have drivers that may work with your card. I suggest trying them.

Hiyas Usagi.
Do not fear, I Sl from my Dell Latitude D600 too. You would need to upgrade your graphics card drivers to those from Omega. Look above for the link.
After installing them, you should be able to play SL with no problems at all.

Yep, ATI-equipped notebooks are a challenge... they have their own listing in the Wiki Tech FAQ, actually.
The problem stems from the fact that ATI does not provide drivers for notebooks. The manufacturer of the notebook/laptop does, but they can take months to release drivers, and their most recent update may be several versions behind ATI's latest release.
Some residents have reported success with third-party drivers. The downside to them, of course, is that they are not officially supported by Linden, ATI, or your notebook manufacturer.
Currently, most ATI graphics chipsets run best in Second Life with the newest drivers possible. We'll continue to improve Second Life and communicate with ATI and nVidia to provide the most consistent experience possible for Second Life users.
