Gah!
Pleaaaase help me. My SL crashes after one minute or so of being logged in. Usually when I go to edit something on my avatar. Its been doing this since late last night and made it nearly impossible, no. It HAS made it impossible for me to play. Could a Linden or Linden Lab employee please check out the crash reports I've been sending in and tell me what the problem is? It'd be greatly appreciated :)

Oh. I also updated my video card yesterday, not forgetting to disable my antivirus program during the installation. Second Life was working fine last night for a long while, then it crashed and has been letting me online for short bursts of time every now and then shortly before crashing and repeating the process.

Thanks.

Wow. No help at all? That sucks. :\

Ohh and I found something interesting. Everytime I go to edit my avatar's hair, my game will crash. Its fine if I edit clothes or anything else, but it just will not let me edit my hair. Wierd, huh?

Try disabling Avatar Vertex Program, might not work tho.

Preference
Graphical Details
Avatar Vertex Program

Toruses (most hairs) can sometimes make the client crash when youre near them , due to the high rendering on them.

Today I was so frustrated and desperate to get Second Life to stop its crashes, that I completey removed it & then re-installed it (With my firewall & antivirus OFF) and now I can't even get past the black screen where it says, " Logging In. Second Life may appear frozen. Please wait." !! Holy Crap, and I thought it couldnt get any worse. >_<

Yeah.. for me, Lag is SOOO bad that I get to the point where Im so fustrated and I'm no longer having fun. My Dell XPS 400 is only about a few months old and I have a pretty good graphics card that I try to update weekly and that doesn't help AT ALL! I was going to reinstall SL.. but it seems that some have you have already tried and it made things worse! Im getting pretty close to cashing in my Lindens and calling it quits...but I love this game.. but not how is been preforming.. and it just seems its NOT getting any better.

Dell systems really do have issues at times. Have you contacted dell support? and or support@secondlife.com?

Contacted Dell? Nope lol

My problem is slowly fixing itself orrr with each Second Life update it is fixed more and more. I crash less often and I can fully login a few minutes after crashing now. So its good ^^
