"Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from the database"

I am having inventory issues as well as land issues. My inventory issues are not that my inventory is missing but rather that when I try to wear/pull out anything from inventory I get a blue pop up saying "Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from the database" even though I can see the item in my inventory. I have tried clearing my cache and relogging and that has not helped. Also my inventory has been taking forever to load. This is of course a huge concern as it means I really can't access anything in my inventory.

In addition to this, the build button is not enabled on my land even though I am wearing my group tag. I've removed tag and put it back on again as well as checked About Land settings and it still doesnt fix it.

Any ideas on either? Thanks!!!

The "Object is missing from the database" error is a regular occurrance when the number of people online is high, like right now it is very nearly 36,000 people, and basically means that the asset server is borked.

It happens at other (less busy) times too, but rarely with the same kind of regularity I've seen when SL is this busy.

This is one of the issues that's kept me out of Second Life for nearly all of the last week, it's just useless to even log in most of the time lately.

You should file a bug report, and perhaps even mention it to Live Help. I can't say that will do you any good today, but it will mean that every person that makes them aware of the problem makes it a pain point (for them as well as for us) that they want to fix

...cus they didnt institute the contingency plan? When was that supposed to kick in anyway?
