I have not been able to send an email from an SL object to an address at DreamHost for over a week now. I also can not establish communications to an open XML channel from DreamHost. I have reset the channel a few times since the upgrade to see if that would help. But it hasn't.
This system was static and running constantly for over 6 months. Problems began about a week ago. I have cross tested email from SL to yahoo and yahoo to DreamHost. Both of those work.

Just to backup this thread (and the couple others), this is indeed an issue. There is a hoard of SL'ers whom utilize Dreamhost for a backend server, and since 1.7 there has been 0 contact possible between the two systems. Even trying to lynx to secondlife.com fails. Dreamhost has stated they have not blocked SL and reported that it has recieved nothing from *.secondlife.com or *.lindenlab.com recently. Hiro has made a post in the hotline which has yet to be answered from LL. What's going on folks?

To my knowledge, object emails are broken. I don't have an ETA for a fix. I'm not sure beyond that.

The Dreamhost problem is being addressed by Mark Linden but object emails are, in general, working from what I can see in my inbox  EDIT: At least I got one about 30 minutes or so ago, which is after you posted. |
