Can't log on after upgrade 1.6.8

:mad: The weird part is........

I also have an alt acct. and my alt CAN LOG IN!

I have the same exact settings on both accounts and and yet every time my primary acct. tries to log in I get as far as .....initializing.... then it crashes, transmits data and shuts down.

SAME SETTINGS....
SAME COMPUTER....
SAME .EXE.....

?????????????????

I've downloaded the upgrade more than once and reinstalled it and get the same results!

......unfortunately, my PRIMARY acct. has all the money, land and assets! GRRRRRRRRR

HELP!

From the login screen open your preferences and change your Login Location from the General tab. If it was 'My Last Location' try 'My Home' and see if you can log in.

If that doesn't work try following the link below which should start Second Life then log in normally.

secondlife://ahern/128/128

Thank you, Kelly, but the same thing happens no matter what location I use. I had already tried that.

I would do a uninstall, as this will clean things up, and delete your cache, and reinstall from scratch, not just a re-install..hopefully that helps..

I'm glad it worked ladyyve. Are you sure you have the right 1-800 number? I've gotten an answer each time I've called from 9am-5pm, PST. Yesterday may have been an exception given the major exploit that was introduced; I can imagine the Lindens were (and still are) scrambling given that exploit and recent asset server issues.

I don't know, Flipper. It's the only one I've seen for the US

1-800-860-6990 M-F 8am to 6pm

Maybe no one was there yet. It 'was' only 8am. hehehe

They haven't returned my call, tho.

I'm just glad that Michael made that suggestion! :) I don't know why I didn't think of that! I did empty the cache beforehand and nada.

I'm hoping that maybe if someone else has problems logging in maybe this would work for them, too. I hadn't heard anyone come up with this before, but then I'm not in here that much.

I can certainly sympathize with any others having this problem! It's so frustrating!
