Hi A/all,
currently running an ATI 9800XT 256mB card, Athlon 64 3400, 2gB of ram, terrible frame rates, lol, but the main question is does anyone else find that the AGP option in graphics menu is greyed out in S/L options, i do not understand this as the graphics card is running under agp x 8, Motherboard is a Gigabyte K8 Triton (GA-K8NS Pro), and can find no reason why this would not work, as ist most defiantely agp. also if it does work for anyone could they post how? and does it make any improvement to the graphics anyway, Best Wishes & regards, girl sara

AGP Graphics Acceleration:
Checking this option enables your computer hardware to use the faster AGP mode for your graphics card. This option is not available for all configurations, including those with PCI video cards (and some PCI-Express cards). Checking this option improves performance for most configurations.

Though, to be honest, the performance boost isn't significant, and you'll be fine if it's turned off. Be sure to read that guide for other performance tips!

sara, did you disable the onboard video card on your motherboard? Also, there is an option somewhere in SL client preferences to force the client software to detect your hardware. I would suggest trying that after turning off the onboard graphics.
