Having problems installing client

I am having some problems that have been lasting for a few days now. I try to download the client, it completed download then when I try and install it, it tells me that the installer is corrupt or contains a virus and to get a new copy of it from the author... Well I clear cache and temp files and try and download again and same thing..

Can anyone help with this? I have never encountered this before and don't understand why this is happening...

Turn off virusprog , trojan blocker or anything you have running in background before downloading SL client, they can sometimes corrupt things (pretty rare), if that dont work i would suggest doing a ram test if a ram is dying anything you copy turns into corrupt file.

Just be sure to turn them back on after download -.- (restart pc)
